Meh. I disagree with Jeff's thesis. I consider myself an atheist. This in no way reduces baseline belief that "certain inalienable rights by God that cannot be taken away by the government." Human rights come from our very existence and exist regardless of faith in God or lack of same. I consider the Democratic Party to be a totalitarian monster & a bitter enemy that must be destroyed. I'm super pleased that those with faith in God belief strongly in human rights and I'm 100% with you. I just don't personally see any need for faith in God to believe in freedom, dignity, and human rights.
I'll be extra observant in future to see whether I notice faith in God to contribute to support for human rights and dignity. Haven't seen it but perhaps that's because I was not looking.
