In 2016, then-President Trump made a bold move by setting up a vaccine safety commission. He recognized the growing concerns among the public about vaccine safety and wanted to ensure that the American people could trust the vaccines being administered. To head this important commission, Trump chose Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime advocate for vaccine safety and transparency.
For a brief moment, it seemed like the tide was turning. Finally, there would be an independent review of vaccine safety, free from the pervasive influence of pharmaceutical companies. However, this hope was short-lived.
